Gedaan is a calm dashboard for the Dutch administrative year. It puts the deadlines that can quietly cost money, along with your own household dates, in one place, counts down to each of them, and explains each one in plain language with the official source attached.
Open the app and you see what is still coming this year: what is running this month, what closes in three weeks, and what you can safely leave alone. Every national deadline carries a short explainer, the official page the information came from, and the date that page was last checked. Reminders are local notifications on your own device, and you decide when they arrive.
Gedaan is an information and reminder tool. It describes how something works, never tells you what to do, arranges nothing on your behalf and files nothing.
Nine national deadlines ship with the app and run every year on their own:
Some of these differ per municipality, per water authority or per year. Where they do, it is stated on the deadline itself, together with the question to put to your own bill or letter. Deadlines that do not apply to you can be switched off.
Alongside those, you track your household's own dates:
For a contract, Gedaan counts down not to the end date but to the last day you can still give notice. A nudge three weeks before a contract ends is worth little if notice had to be given a month ahead. You can add several people to your household and attach dates to them.
Gedaan is free and you get the whole app. No advertising, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no trial, no account, and no limit on how many dates you track. There is nothing to unlock and nothing to buy later.
Everything is computed and stored on your phone. The app makes no network connection of its own and contains no networking code, no analytics and no third-party software. The one exception is handing a source link to Safari so Safari can open the official page. Gedaan therefore works fully without a connection, including on a plane. What you enter stays with you: see the privacy policy.
The app is fully bilingual. Dutch is the source language and English is a complete translation, including every explainer for the national deadlines. You switch language inside the app on the first onboarding screen, or later under Settings, independently of your phone's language. Useful if you read English but deal with Dutch post.
Gedaan has no affiliation with the Rijksoverheid, the Belastingdienst, the RDW, RVO, any municipality or any water authority. Gedaan is not an official government app and is not published or endorsed by any of them. What the authority's own page says always takes precedence over what you read in Gedaan.

Write to nl.chetanpotdar@gmail.com
This is the only support address for Gedaan. Every message is read and answered, usually within a few days. Dutch or English is fine. Where you can, mention your device, your iOS version, and which deadline or screen it is about: it makes the answer faster.
Reports about a national deadline that has changed are especially welcome. Every deadline has an official source and is rechecked when someone flags it.
